Archdiocese of Boston Ordains 7 New Priests

May 22, 2022

Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley ordained seven men to the priesthood on Saturday, May 21. The Saint John's community offers heartfelt congratulations to our the five men who were trained and educated at Saint John's along with two other seminarians who completed their studies at the North American College in Rome and Pope Saint John XXIII Seminary. Please join us in offering prayers of support and thanksgiving for their new ministry as priests.

In his homily Cardinal O'Malley said, "Priests are Christ’s ambassadors, His messengers, His reconcilers. One of the greatest joys of being a priest is to bring words of comfort and assurance of God’s love and mercy to all people. As priests, following Jesus’ example, we are called to be close to the people we serve. We pray that with the help of God, these new priests can be an instrument of reconciliation in a world fraught by division. May God’s blessings be upon these newly ordained as they are called to joyfully serve Christ and the Church.”

Support our mission by making a donation in honor of a recently ordained priest. Donating to the Saint John's Fund is one of the most powerful ways you can make an impact. Support from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends gives Saint John's a way to equip our seminarians and students with the knowledge and tools necessary for a lifetime of service to Christ and His Church.
