The Fathers of the early centuries of Christianity include saints, scholars, bishops, priests, laity, and ascetics, who are all united in their hunger to know the Lord. Thus, we could ask for no better guides in a prayerful examination of the Our Father. This presentation will introduce some of these major interpreters—Cyprian of Carthage, Augustine of Hippo, Maximus the Confessor and others—and share their wisdom regarding the transformative power of Christ's command to "pray like this."
