St. Andrew Dinner | Archdiocese of Boston

November 29th, 2022

06:00 pm

THE PRIESTHOOD IS “THE MOST INTERESTING OF ADVENTURES AND THE MOST NECESSARY FOR THE WORLD: THE ADVENTURE OF DEMONSTRATING AND REALIZING THE FULLNESS OF LIFE TO WHICH EVERYONE ASPIRES. IT IS A VERY DEMANDING ADVENTURE AND COULD NOT BE OTHERWISE BECAUSE A PRIEST IS CALLED TO IMITATE JESUS.

-Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI

St. Andrew was the first called by Jesus to follow Him as one of his Apostles. In the Eastern Church, St. Andrew is known as the Protokletos ("First Called") as John the Baptist invited him to follow Jesus. This dinner is for any young man of high school age who is open to the priesthood as a calling from the Lord.

The event is casual and provides a time for prayer, food, and conversation. Each student also has the opportunity to meet Cardinal Seán.
